Commencing Wednesday 15 September and running until Saturday 2 October the A4 Bath Road to the west of Marlborough will be closed to all traffic between 19:00 and 06:00 whist resurfacing (and associated works) are carried out.
The stretch involved runs between the Clatford business park (East of the Clatford turning on to the A4) and the turning to Lockeridge at Fyfield.
The diversion (map below) directs traffic to take the A361 from Beckhampton, through Avebury up to South Swindon, along the B4006 through Swindon Old Town to Coate Water, then on to the A4259 to the roundabout of the A419, up and across the M4 Junction 15, on to the A346 and through to Marlborough.

It’s a long way. But such diversions are based on routing traffic via roads of an equivalent status.
There is one other planned closure for this period – of Frees Avenue which will be closed entirely between Thursday 30 September and Monday 4 October for ‘laying of new ducting and associated works’.
So for a likely coupld of days (or more?) both Frees Avenue (up to Hackpen and Broad Hinton) and the A4 Bath Road – Marlborough’s two access roads on the Western side will both be closed.
