‘Words from the Hedge’ – Author talk by Richard Negus at the White Horse Bookshop

Hedgerows define – or used to – the English countryside. While many of these field boundaries have been destroyed to enable modern farming practices, there remains a network, centuries old, of mixed native species providing a habitat for a variety of wildlife. In Words from the Hedge, Richard examines and celebrates the workmanship and skill which is used to create and maintain these crucial arteries of the countryside.
