MantonFest – the finale of ‘Marlborough Music Month’ is back on Saturday 27 in the Preshute watermeadow, its regular natural arena. It’s the ‘big one’ with well over one thousand of us having a big party on the MantonFest field whilst listening to some great sounds going on behind.

MantonFest is a party. More than just a ‘music festival’. It’s in a large, grassed natural arena which means that the performers on stage can be seen (and heard) from almost any part of the field. A great day out. Gazebos, picnics, lots of food and drink available but in spite of the numbers enjoying the day it never feels crowded. Dogs welcome, it’s a day for all the family and friends.
Music is a mix of top local or excellent cover – tribute – bands. Barrelhouse, local Blues band with an international following will again be there but as normal keeping the afternoon energy chugging along with their set between 4pm and 6pm. Headlining will be the ‘electrifying’ (sorry, couldn’t resist that) AC / DC UK. Regarded as one of, if not the top AC/DC tribute bands in Europe they celebrate the fifty years of the AC/DC sound.
And…. Robbie Williams (not quite, rather Dan Budd as Robbie). Dan will bring Robbie to MantonFest. ‘Let me entertain you’, ‘Angels’, and many more. Plenty of Robbie Williams classics to choose from to make a great set.

And the weather? MantonFest has always been lucky with the weather and rain has rarely ever been seen (or felt!). The forecast – at this stage – is for a bright sunny day, in the mid-twenties (Centigrade) with possibly a few clouds. Sounds like ‘normal’ MantonFest weather.
“Can’t believe that we are at year 16 of running MantonFest” said Music Director, Stuart Whant. Adding “This year profits will support the Marlborough Area Youth Forum that pays a great role in helping Marlborough’s young. What better than to have a great day of musical fun whilst supporting good causes”
“Thanks to everyone who’s made this year’s MantonFest happen” Impresario Roger Grant told Marlborough.news. “Want to give a big thanks to Fred and Emma Goltz for the use of this wonderful arena again, Grist Environmental for their support and facilities and who make the site clean and comfortable, and we look forward to raising much needed funds for the Marlborough Area Youth Forum and Youth Adventure Trust, two organisations that play vital roles in supporting the young who need help. This is MantonFest” he added…….
