The waiting is over for Year 11 students in our local area as today they received their GCSE results and the next stage of their education can begin.

A spokesman from Pewsey Vale School told Marlborough.news, “Students arrived at Pewsey Vale School this morning with a mixture of excitement and trepidation waiting to open their GCSE results.
Parents and staff watched as envelopes were open and students saw what their hard work and commitment had resulted in. Cheers of delight and shouts of sheer relief could be heard all around the school.”

Head Teacher, Neil Pritchard, commented, “I am delighted for our students on what they have achieved; these results will allow them to move on to their next stage of education or employment. Quite a few of our students are going on this year to study at prestigious post-16 venues and there is a lot of competition to secure these places. I am very proud of them.”
“Some of our students have achieved the highest grades in the country and they are absolutely delighted with the success that they have had within our school. In addition, I would also like to say how proud I am of our students who have historically struggled academically yet have persevered and now can celebrate their successes.”
Neil Pritchard added, “This is our first year where we have been working as part of Acorn Education Trust. Their collaborative approaches and support have already made a significant impact and we can’t wait to see what the next few years bring. These really are exciting times for our school.”
