Many of you, particularly Vodafone customers may have experienced (very) poor reception and difficulty making calls over the past couple of weeks. If in the High Street, pop down to the Library and make a call from the Red Telephone Box still there and working!
Apparently the Vodafone mast serving Marlborough has been down – ‘being repaired’ – so we hear. Getting any information about what, why and when has proved difficult as too many at Vodafone, when contacted, had no idea.
And Marlborough is barely twenty miles from the longtime world Vodafone headquarters in Newbury.
But in our area – minimal service. Callers can use ‘WiFi Calling’ when connected to WiFi but when out, that’s when the Red Telephone Box suddenly becomes interesting and an attractive way of making that call…..
We understand that the mast is fixed – or nearly fixed so this problem should be resolved and all will be back to normal but this does highlight the issues (and attitude) of ‘Customer Service’ of Vodafone.
