Home-Start North Wiltshire is thrilled to have recently received funding from the Garfield Weston Foundation. Home-Start, based in Pewsey, helps local families with children under five who are experiencing challenging times through home-visiting and group support. The £30,000 funding (which runs over two years) will help pay for the charity’s operating costs.
Joanne Kent, Fundraiser for Home-Start North Wiltshire said: “Receiving funding to help cover the costs of delivering our home-visiting and group support for families is crucial in sustaining our service. Demand remains high; last year saw us support two hundred and twenty families, and for many families who contact us, they have no-where else to turn. Funding from the Garfield Weston Foundation will help us to continue helping parents when they need it most. We are extremely thankful for their support.”
Established in 1958, the Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-maker that gives money to support a wide variety of charities across the UK.
