During the school year 2017/18 more than 55 children from Ramsbury represented the school at the Wiltshire School Games and Winter Games. Overall they participated in nineteen different sporting competitions including: football, tennis, hockey, netball, tag rugby, cricket, boccia, curling, swimming, orienteering, tri-golf and quad kids (athletics).

Criteria for achieving this highest award include: a large percentage of children participating in sport and leadership activities, a variety of sports’ competitions, the number of different sports played, and links with local clubs and organisations. The school is also required to target those previously identified as the school’s least active pupils.
Kirsty Miles, who provides full-time PE teaching at Ramsbury, said, “I am absolutely delighted with both awards, which reinforce our philosophy at Ramsbury of involving as many children as possible in as many activities as possible and working together to be the best that we can be.”
