Wiltshire Women’s Cricket team will be playing local County rivals Berkshire in the Vitality T20 Women’sCounty Cup competition at the beautiful Marlborough Cricket Club ground on the edge of Savernake Forest – on Sunday 26 April at 11am.
Probably the first County representative match at Savernake, possibly ever. as well as being able to support the County side against next door Berkshire (or if living in Hungerford against Wiltshire!) this match is also a great opportunity for Marlborough and a chance to promote women and girl’s sport, as well as an opportunity for the Marlborough Cricket Club to showcase itself on behalf of our town and community.
The Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup tournament pits Wiltshire’s Women’s team against the other nearby ounty sides, such as Hampshire, Devon, Gloucestershire, as well as Sunday’s opposition, Berkshire. And potentially other County sides from further afield later in the competition.
Women’s cricket is gaining coverage and popularity and this is a chance to see how the game has progressed in recent times whilst also cheering on our local team.
Free entry, all welcome to the beautiful setting of the Marlborough Cricket Club ground at Savernake, match starts at 11am
