Police are appealing for information following an assault in Marlborough High Street.
The incident occurred near to the Joules and Sea Salt stores at about 1am on Sunday, September 2.
A man, aged 34 from Marlborough, was left with head and leg injuries and was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a 26-year-old man, also from Marlborough, on suspicion of assault. He has since been released under investigation.
Det Con Craig Rathbone, of Swindon CID, said: “Although one arrest has already been made, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
