This evening (Monday 2 June) Marlborough’s new Mayor, Cllr Emily Trow took over the role from Kym-Marie Cleasby and accepted the chain of office for the forthcoming year.

This was the first time that Mayor Robing was separated from the formal handover, which this year took place at the Annual Town Meeting on Monday 12 May, when Cllr Trow was formally elected Mayor by the Council and there she signed her declaration of acceptance of office. But this evening was the ceremonial affair with all pageantry and passing of chain of office and swapping of robes to signify the accession.
Tonight – ceremonial. The formal Town Hall steps image is above, and below are a series of images of the handover, votes of thanks, signings by new Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
