Marlborough College, where royal bride Catherine Middleton was a student before going to university, is to lose its Master, Nick Sampson, next year.
A statement on the College’s website, announces: “After eight years of outstanding service, Nick Sampson will step down as Master of Marlborough College at the end of the summer term in 2012.”
“At the end of his time here, he will be moving to Australia where he will become Headmaster of Cranbrook School in Sydney.”
Chairman of the College Council, Sir Hayden Phillips, says: “The time for a full tribute to Nick Sampson’s leadership is yet to come, but I would like to mark now what he has done to revitalise the curriculum and open the College up to the wider world, while sustaining its traditional pastoral and extra-curricular strengths.”
