For the fourth year running Burbage resident, Claire Presley, is busy collecting Christmas gifts for children who may have little or nothing under the tree on Christmas morning. The gifts will be taken to our local Salvation Army centre in Swindon where, with the help of Social Services, they will be distributed to families in need.
The gifts must be brand new and unwrapped and can be given to collection points in Ducklings Toy Shop, Marlborough. Alternatively, Claire is happy to collect and can be contacted on 07787533677.
Claire told Marlborough.news, “I am amazed at the generosity of people. Let’s see if we can really make a difference this Christmas.”
Swindon Salvation Army said, “Last Christmas we gave out 344 gifts to children and 102 gifts to the elderly. Donations can include anything from toys, baby clothes, bath toys, books, dolls, action figures, cuddly toys, sports equipment, clothing, toiletries, gloves, scarves, hats, t-shirts, hair accessories and gift vouchers. Any donation no matter how small will be gratefully received. We couldn’t do it without you.”
