Deadlight Dance – Marlborough’s Goth inspired duo of Tim Emery and Nick Fletcher recently released their third album – Vox Populi’ – through Ray Records (streaming everywhere). It was recorded as always by Nick Beere at his Mooncalf studio in Chiseldon. But now the video (of the second track – ‘Winter Daphne DOA’ to accompany and support the album has been released on You Tube:
“We had some fun with instrumentation. Nick Beere (of Mooncalf) sourced a sitar for us, which I was able to use on “Glass Walls” and “Fortune Cookies”. I also had a David Bowie stylophone that is in the mix in there too” said Tim
“The album came together really quickly”, said Nick, “I had the barebones of a couple of tracks for a while (“Faded” and “Red Flags”) and when Tim came up with the loose structure for the opening song (“Gloss”), it all snowballed and we just went on a massive writing spree.”
Deadlight Dance will be playing at The White Bear in Devizes on Sunday 12 July
