The Doreen King Foundation was set up by a past Governor of Pewsey Vale School to benefit present and former pupils who leave the school to receive further education as sixth formers or college students.
The Trust can provide financial help for such expenses as specialist clothing, tools, books and travel in connection with a course (but not normal daily travel) and help towards entering a profession or trade.
Notices about the Trust’s grants will be found at Pewsey Vale School, St John’s Academy and at Swindon and Salisbury Colleges, Devizes School and Lackham College.
Applications for grants should be submitted by the pupil or former pupil no later than Thursday, June 26 to Mrs J.Sawyer, Trustee and Correspondent, 30 Astley Close, Pewsey, Wiltshire SN9 5BD. Applications will be treated in confidence and applicants advised of the Trustees’ decisions by the end of July.
