Students from Pewsey Vale School joined staff, governors, and invited guests at a moving Remembrance ceremony held at St John’s Church, Pewsey, this week.
The service provided an opportunity for the school community to reflect on the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, past and present. With many students coming from military families, the occasion held special significance.
The ceremony, led by Rev. Hazel Davis, included readings and prayers by students, followed by a period of silence to honour those who have served. The Last Post was played, bringing a poignant close to the act of remembrance.
Headteacher Neil Pritchard said: “It’s important that our young people understand the meaning of Remembrance and take time to reflect on the courage and service of others. We’re proud of how respectfully our students marked the occasion.”
