Earring lost by a reader – gold horse shoe shape – have you seen it? – letter from Mike Farmer

This may be a strange letter however I have a problem with which you may be able to assist.

I was walking in your fair town Friday 4th August when my partner lost an earring. More than normally regretted as I had only given them to her that morning as birthday present.

Has it been seen or picked up anywhere?

The upshot is that maybe one of your readers picked it up and thought no more about it. As to where I have no idea. We walked around the town and on the common around the rugby pitches. So could be anywhere.

It is a gold horse shoe shape with a decorative cluster in the loop probably 15/20mm across.

I’m fully aware this is a shot in the dark, but at least there is an outside chance.
