Every first and third Monday of each month people living with dementia and family carers are invited to come along to the fortnightly memory cafe in East Grafton. Run by Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support, the café is a great way to meet others in a similar situation, enjoy some entertainment such as musicians and speakers, and chat informally to dementia professionals over tea and cake.
The Memory Cafe is led by professionals trained in dementia awareness and supported by teams of dedicated volunteers.

Head of community services for Alzheimer’s Support, Jon Mansfield said: “Our groups are very relaxed and welcoming and have a real family feel to them. Not only do they offer the opportunity to take part in an uplifting and enjoyable activity, they’re also a great place to make friends.
“We also have some wonderful opportunities for volunteers, so if you are friendly, empathetic and enjoy working with people with dementia, please get in contact.”
Where? At Coronation Hall, on The Green in East Grafton – SN8 3DQ.
