Macmillan’s trademark green bus will be near Boots in Marlborough High Street on October 28 from 10 am to 4pm. A highly specialised team of trained radiographers, dietitians and financial experts will be there to talk to people in confidence, for as long as they need, and to give information on all the Macmillan services on offer. Alternatively, you can pick up leaflets to take away with you.
Everyone is welcome to use the service. Whether you have a cancer diagnosis, have a friend or relative affected by cancer, or are worried about cancer in any way at all, there are lots of ways that Macmillan can support you – medically, financially, emotionally and practically.
Elaine Perry is a Macmillan Information and Support Specialist: “Whether you want to know more about the symptoms to look out for, need advice about managing the side effects of your treatment, or want to find local support for carers, come along and see us. We’d be happy to help and answer any questions you may have about cancer and how it is affecting your life.”
There is more information about Macmillan’s mobile information service and planned visits here.
If you are unable to visit the unit but have questions about cancer, visit their website or call Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00 (7 days a week, 8am – 8pm). And here you can find out about Macmillan services near you.
