
Jonathan Dimbleby announced the winners and handed out the prizes, including presenting the prestigious Silver Gilt award to the Marlborough team. Marlborough was just pipped to the overall SWTA Cup by Kingsbridge (Devon).
Individual groups around the town also did well with the Old Victorian Cemetery and Manton in Bloom achieving Thriving awards and Stonebridge Meadow presented with an ‘0utstanding’ certificate – the highest category. ARK won silverware for its native planting there and short listed for its environmental work.
Marlborough was short listed for environmental efforts for Stonebridge and also for its overall portfolio. Marlborough Waterfront Association received a special mention too and amongst stiff competition. The Lamb won third place in the south west for its floral display for a pub.
