Last Sunday, May 17, over £131,300 was raised for Restless Development and a range of other charities chosen by participating schools. Over 1,260 pupils from 36 local schools took part in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon which was held at Marlborough College. Top fundraisers, Lily, Eleanor, Ruby and Ella from Pinewood School raised £1,383. The event was one of 15 similar events which are set to raise over £1.4 million for charity this April-June.
The event, part of the UK’s largest fundraising triathlon series for children, saw pupils team up to swim, cycle and run in support of causes close to their hearts. The funds raised will help support young people both locally and globally to create positive change in their communities.
The Schools Triathlon is organised by global youth charity Restless Development, which supports young leaders around the world to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing their communities. Last year alone, the charity worked with more than 288,000 young people globally. Across the 2026 Schools Triathlon series, over 12,000 pupils are expected to take part, with the initiative aiming to raise more than £1.4 million for charity.

Thanks to headline sponsors Knight Frank and Neilson Beach Clubs, all participant fundraising goes directly to charitable causes.
Marlborough College has been an incredible supporter of the Schools Triathlon since the very beginning and has proudly hosted the event since 2017. The event has become a true community occasion, bringing together more than 2,000 attendees for a day centred around sport, fundraising and community spirit. Local businesses, volunteers, staff and Marlborough College pupils all played a vital role in making the event such a success.

Among the standout stories from the day was fundraising team “The Chomps”, who raised an impressive £1,382 for charity. The team said they were incredibly proud to be able to donate such a significant amount to help support young people and communities around the world.
