Candidates standing to be Town Councillors for the forthcoming four year term starting on Friday 2 May will all become Councillors – duty elected – as there aren’t enough candidates standing to fill the available seats in either East or West Ward. Technically there will be a Town Council election, but it will be ‘Uncontested’ – i.e. it won’t physically happen and no-one will be moving empty ballot boxes from voting booths to count location at the end of the day to tally up the non-existent voting slips.
Marlborough East has nine seats, only eight candidates nominated. Marlborough West has seven seats – only six candidates nominated.
Candidates standing (all duly elected) for each ward are listed below:
Marlborough East Ward:
| Name | Representing |
| CLEASBY Kymee | Liberal Democrat |
| FARRELL Lisa Ann | Independent |
| HALL Mervyn John | Independent |

However, there will be an election across the Marlborough and surrounding area on May 1, but for the Unitary Authority – Wiltshire Council. Details of who is standing in each of the three Divisions for this area can be found by clicking here.
