At this time of year Food Banks play a very important role. For many they help enable Christmas to be a special day. One of the most important parts of being a member of Girlguiding is the promise they make to serve the community, and to do a good turn every day. It’s a promise they repeat each time they meet.
So to end this very busy year they had a Christmas celebration at Marlborough’s ASK restaurant. And as a way to put their promise into action and to make this really special for others in the community they all bought a donation for the Food Bank run by Trussel Trust.
The Trust do fantastic work supporting the local community and the Brownies and Guiders donations will help some families in real need have a better Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of the girls and their parents, this large donation to the food bank will be distributed to families in need over the coming weeks.
