The group, which has been running for more than two years, regularly meets every Tuesday morning at the Conservative Club in the Marlborough’s High Street.
Its main aim is to provide people with learning difficulties and their carers a place to socialise and enjoy a range of practical activities from sewing, painting and cooking to games and singing.
There has been a shortage of places to meet and socialise in Marlborough following the closure of the Wyvern Centre and the Adult Learning Centre, Inside Out being launched to help fill this void.

“This group is exactly the sort of organisation that the Town Council wants to help,” explained the deputy mayo. “It’s local and provides a vital service in the town. I find it humbling to see what this small team of volunteers has achieved to help people towards having their very own weekly club.”
The grant award which will really help its activities at the Tuesday sessions, according to delighted Mrs Bailey, who now has a trip to Windsor Safari Park at the top of her wish list for the coming year.
Other groups awarded grants by the Town Council include The Bruce Trust, The Richards Trust, Transition Marlborough and the Greatwood Charity.
