Marlborough Rising Saturday was at the Town Hall. Up and coming Flyte headlined, returning to Marlborough after a couple of appearances for Sound Knowledge, with lead Will Taylor giving them a big plug. Marlborough’s Wilding supported with Ben Cipolla opening in the Court Room downstairs, both showing the real depth of talent amongst the young talent in the town.
Sunday – a complete change of theme, style and environment as Rising moved to the College’s recently refurbished and acoustically perfect Memorial Hall for the Ukele Orchestra of Great Britain. OK, they did play ‘Anarchy in the UK’…….
That’s Marlborough Rising 2019 – a great weekend of live music, doing exactly what organiser and chair Robin Pritchard set out to deliver – Filling the town with music.
A selection of pics below from the Saturday and Sunday performances, to bring back some of the performances to those who were present, or just give some feel of the weekend to those that didn’t make it.
