Now in the exclusive ‘top bracket’ of Table Tennis clubs in Wiltshire, Kennet Vale Table Tennis Club, playing out of Lockeridge’s Kennet Valley Hall is now one of just four such clubs in the county.
If you already play, but not as regularly as you’d like, you want to take it up again, or you want to learn the game (at any age), the Kennet Vale club would be a very good place to start. To qualify for the ‘Premier’ status the club had to demonstrate that it met the criteria of having a properly qualified coach, a safeguarding officer available and sufficient resources in place to have the ability to run league, coaching, and Junior sessions at the club. KVTT has been in existence since the seventies, for nearly fifty years but recently has grown in size and popularity as Table Tennis has become recognised as a fun, low demand (equipment for the player – decent bat and shorts), great for keeping fit and an easily accessible competitive sport.
The KVTT Club offers:
- Dedicated female coaching and bat & chat session on a Tuesday evening
- Three Junior coaching sessions across Kennet Valley Hall and St John’s school.
- Two Club Sessions per week for social and league players
- Three table tennis robots to aid in practicing at home
- Week-long summer camp in July with a professional coach
- Coaching to county level and links with coaches to National level – with two of our juniors now playing for Wiltshire.
- Over forty adults and juniors playing in the Devizes and District TT League. Teams compete in all three divisions so we have places available for all levels of player.
