The last ten days of August could prove difficult for anyone coming in from the West or going out that way. Two sets of roadworks, each controlled by ‘multi-way signals’ will be happening on the Pewsey Road (we understand just down from the St Peter’s / College mini-roundabout) and also at the western end of the High St, near to St Peter’s.
This is part of the new broadband infrastructure installation that Marlborough will be able to benefit from soon. These works are being conducted by contractors on behalf of Gigaclear, one of the two full fibre providers. These works, and disruptions have been happening for the past year so the benefits of fast, reasonably priced broadband should be the result. Or so we hope…..
But in summary, be prepared to wait in queues for the lights to change, at busy times when going anywhere near the western end of the High Street between Monday next week (21 August) and 31 August.

Rugby now for ALL ages on The Common, thanks to Marlborough Rugby
