The St John’s online auction is now live – and racking up the bids. In the first seven hours bidders clocked up £1,000. Bidding for a staggering, mouth-watering list of lots is open for the rest of the month.
The auction has been organised by St John’s parents Jackie Ferguson and Jo Payne for St John’s Family and Friends. They hope to raise £10,000 for the St John’s all-weather pitch fund.
The winning bidders will be those bidding the most for each lot by 7pm on Sunday, June 30. The site will be updated regularly to show highest bid information – so you can keep an eye on your favourite lots.
And the lots? Lots of them – over seventy different lots donated by local businesses and individuals.
Amongst them: that two week stay in Brazil (check the details – it may not be overlooking Copacabana!) – a VIP day out at Barbury Horse Trials – tea at the House of Commons – a week in Spain – a night in Winchester – lunch at a local restaurant – a silver necklace – a plane raid over Marlborough – a course at Marlborough College Summer School…counting on to a warming load of logs or some Hunter Wellies (so useful when it rains in Brazil!)
Lots come in various categories to make it easy to find your way round the auction: Days Out, Hotels and Holidays, Health & Beauty, Entertaining, Experiences, Work Experience, Courses and Consultancy, Home & car, Gifts – and Others.
The homepage of the St John’s website has a special SUMMER AUCTION button or you can go straight to the auction pages here. Bidding is by email – just click on the BID NOW button next to the lot you are interested in.
There’s a lot of bidding time left…but all good things come to an end, so don’t forget the deadline is 7pm on Sunday, June 30.
