Bomb hoax closes KAMP surgeries in George Lane and Pewsey

A man has since been arrested but late yesterday afternoon a bomb threat call to the KAMP medical practice immediately closed both sites – George Lane, Marlborough and Pewsey.

A hoax threat, thankfully but those at KAMP can’t take any chances and assume it to be a hoax. They had to act assuming that it could have been real.

Wiltshire Police issued the following statement: “Officers have arrested a man on suspicion of making a hoax bomb threat following a call received by the Kennet and Avon surgery in Marlborough yesterday (Wednesday).

“The surgery in Marlborough and a practice in Pewsey, which is part of the same group, were evacuated as a precaution.

“Following a search, it has been determined that there is no ongoing threat.”
