Your opportunity to stand and represent the electorate of Marlborough East.
Nominations are now open – until 4pm on Friday 18 February – for prospective new Town Councillors wishing to represent Marlborough (East). Following Cllr Hillier’s decision to stand down at the start of this year, there has been one vacant seat on the Council which will be filled by an election.

Residents in the Marlborough (East) area will now be able to vote for a Councillor to represent their interests on the Town Council for the first time in well over a decade. The last previous Town Council seat election took place in 2011, but that was in Marlborough West, so the successful candidate will be the only Councillor sitting on the Council elected by the people of Marlborough (in this case ‘East) put there by the residents.
So a chance for the residents of the East of the town to vote for whom they believe will represent them best. Local democracy returns to Marlborough.
