Main road through Lockeridge to close for a day on Thursday (1 December)

The busy lane that runs through Lockeridge (C38) will become unusually quiet on Thursday, 1 December.

BT Openreach will be conducting work between the gates at the southern boundary to the village and the turn off to East Kennett, about 2km to the south (C73 junction).  A diversion will be signed through East Kennett and along the A4.

Residents and business will be allowed access but those looking to find a short cut through Lockeridge will have to find an alternate route.

Work is expected to be completed during the day so thr road should be open again by the evening.
