In the early hours of last Sunday, 14 August, Mercers Café and the Dogs Trust in Hilliers Yard were broken into and a small amount of cash stolen from inside. Damage was caused to the front doors during the burglaries.
PC Jamie Brown said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the Hilliers Yard area in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“In particular, we are keen to hear from anyone who saw a man with a bald head wearing a light hooded jumper in the area around this time.
“We are carrying out a thorough investigation into these two incidents and have increased patrols in the area. “
