Great Green Bedwyn, a community climate action group, have teamed up with Great Bedwyn Primary School to organise a Green Fair, aiming to bring the community together around action on climate change and raise funds for the school. These funds will go towards an Eco-dome at the school – a new outdoor learning space for science.
An enjoyable and informative afternoon with something for all ages is planned, including:
- Green fun for children, with free art and science activities
- A talk about the plants and animals of the Bedwyn Brails*
- ‘Green Scene’ children’s drama workshop
- Children and staff sharing their plans for a greener school
- Information sharing from local green groups
- Green Homes and energy saving advice
- Local artist’s work for sale
- Pre-loved clothes, children’s books and toys
- Tasty food and drinks
Sylvia Wyatt from Great Green Bedwyn said ‘The Green Fair will be a great opportunity for children, families and everyone in the community to understand more about looking after the planet and get involved in doing something locally’.
