Wiltshire Mind invite you to join a fortnightly gardening sessions at the beautiful garden space at Greatwood Charity, located in Marlborough. These two-hour sessions are led by an experienced wellbeing team from Wiltshire Mind, offering support and guidance as you take part in this fulfilling activity. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome to participate.
Wiltshire Mind commented, “We are excited to offer an uplifting and therapeutic gardening experience that nurtures both the mind and body. Immerse yourself in the soothing act of gardening, a proven way to relieve stress and improve your mental wellbeing.
Gardening is more than just tending to plants – it’s about tending to yourself. The physical act of digging, weeding, and planting gets your blood flowing, helping to elevate your mood and energy levels. Watching your hard work come to life as plants grow and thrive brings a sense of accomplishment, boosting your confidence and self-esteem.
In today’s fast-paced world, many people struggle with mental health challenges. Studies have shown that engaging with nature can significantly improve mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. The Gardening Wellbeing Group seeks to provide a nurturing environment where you can connect, share experiences, and cultivate both plants and personal growth. This is a chance to escape the hustle of daily life and reconnect with nature, while also building meaningful connections with others in your community.”
