The Marlborough Sport Relief Mile, organised by the Marlborough and District Junior Athletics club (MADJA) raised a final total of £3,377.38 for the national charity, contributing towards the a record-breaking total £71.8m achieved from all the activities held across the whole of the UK.
Well over 200 runners of all ages and capabilities took part in the Mile last March with the aim of generating as much money as possible for the UK’s main sports charity event.
“Congratulations to all the runners, young and old, for taking part and for raising so much money,” said MADJA organiser Ben Tarring. “And many thanks to the everyone at Marlborough leisure centre and Marlborough College for making the event such a success.”
