Up to December 2, the appeal to make possible the creation of Prospect Hospice’s outpatients centre at Savernake Hospital has gone over the halfway point.
The target launched two months ago was £75,000 and the Friends of Savernake Hospital and the Community pledged to double the first £20,000 raised.
The appeal has raised £24,000 so, with the Friends’ pledge, the total stands at £44,000.
Richard Hammond, who is running the appeal for the Prospect Hospice, said they had been overwhelmed with people’s generosity: “I want to thank everyone who has donated to the appeal to date, and also encourage anyone who is still considering it to feel confident that the success the appeal has had so far means that their support will bring the opening of our new centre at Savernake Hospital even closer.”
