Sirs,
Today, April 11, is World Parkinson’s Day and the Marlborough Parkinson’s meeting group has celebrated a year of gatherings. We meet on the first Friday of every month from 11:00 to 12.30 in St Peter’s Church and refreshments are available from the cafe in the church.
These monthly meetings in have gone from strength to strength and we get a good attendance every month with people coming from Wroughton and Devizes as well as villages surrounding Marlborough. However, I still feel that there must be plenty of people living with Parkinsons in Marlborough who are missing out. It’s not only good for those of us who are living with the disease but also good for carers and spouses/ partners.
I am celebrating World Parkinson’s day by going for a run with a guy named Simon Williamson. He has run 100 different marathons in 8 years for Parkinson’s Uk! This year he is running with a different person every day so I am joining him today and my wife Ellie is running with him on Friday. Click here to find out more and to donate.
