How saddening it is to read the graceless comments made by the two losers in Marlborough East Ward and the winner in the West Ward whose comment about the Conservative Party victor carries the stench of the toxicity which the former Councillor Val Compton complained of in her remarks on leaving Marlborough Town Council.
Not a word of congratulation to the winner, which used to be usual after a result was declared. The age of chivalry is truly dead!
