MADE in the Pewsey Vale hase been awarded the ‘Muddy’ for best ‘Arts, Theatre & Culture’ in Wiltshire in this year’s ‘Muddy Stiletto’ awards.
A vibrant gallery and artist collective based in the heart of Pewsey, founded two years ago by photographer Alex Bramall and illustrator Catriona Tyrwhitt, MADE in the Pewsey Vale gallery has quickly become a dynamic hub for creativity, community and connection.
MADE in the Pewsey Vale focuses on celebrating local talent, hosting many exhibitions by a range of local artists – a rich spectrum of both emerging and established artists, all with a connection to the Vale of Pewsey.
Over the past year, MADE in the Pewsey Vale has cultivated a growing network of nearly 40 member artists, offering an inclusive space for artistic expression and collaboration. Through a rolling programme of solo and group exhibitions and workshops, MADE invites the public to discover and engage with distinctive work from across the region. As much a community space as it is a gallery, MADE champions the arts while contributing to the cultural and economic regeneration of Pewsey, the Pewsey Vale and the surrounding area.
What are the ‘Muddy Stiletto’ awards? We hear the name, frequently, but what do they do? Launched a dozen or so years ago it’s a national awards organisation – promoting lifestyle brands, in a quirky, witty way. And the Awards focus on brilliant, unique, indie businesses; the Best Places to Live in the UK, chosen each year by the ‘Muddy’ editors living in their local ‘Muddy’ regions.
