Parvis Jamieson – Liberal Democrats

Parvis Jamieson: A Fresh Voice for Marlborough West
Parvis Jamieson is standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Marlborough West in the upcoming Wiltshire Council elections. A long-time resident of Wiltshire and passionate campaigner, Parvis brings both experience and integrity to local politics at a time when many residents feel let down by the Conservative-led council.
A former parish councillor in Datchet, Parvis moved to Wiltshire nine years ago and quickly became embedded in community life. A retired chartered accountant and management consultant, he spent years advising major businesses and financial institutions on regulation and development. He also served as a director of Wessex Archaeology for seven years and currently supports local people through his role as a trustee of Wiltshire Citizens Advice.
Parvis is running on a platform of accountability, fairness, and practical solutions. He believes Wiltshire needs change before it’s too late. “Wiltshire deserves better,” he says. “Too many services have been cut, roads are crumbling, and our communities have been ignored.”
His priorities for Marlborough West include repairing roads, protecting local services, managing housing development responsibly, and tackling environmental issues like flooding and sewage pollution. He also supports enhancing youth opportunities, building on the Liberal Democrats’ successful transfer of Marlborough’s Youth Centre into local hands.
With Labour holding just three seats on the council and the Conservatives maintaining a majority, Parvis says only the Liberal Democrats can challenge the status quo. “This election is our chance to demand a fair deal for Marlborough,” he adds.
Known for his listening ear and results-driven approach, Parvis Jamieson is ready to be a strong, local voice for the community—and a champion for real change in Wiltshire.
