Mildenhall-based rider Jonelle Price has been selected to join her husband Tim in the New Zealand eventing team for the World Equestrian Games in France at the end of this month.
It will be the first time a husband and wife have been in the New Zealand eventing team – Tim Price was among the original team line-up.
Jonelle’s team place follows the withdrawal of Caroline Powell who has represented New Zealand in Olympic and World Equestrian Games competitions. Ms Powell’s horse Onwards and Upwards suffered a slight injury and failed to respond to treatment.
Jonelle, who was part of New Zealand’s bronze medal team at the London Olympics, will be riding Classic Moet.
