Around 50 of the county’s best young golfers descended on Ogbourne Downs Golf Club on Thursday for the 29th annual Hills Wiltshire Junior Golf Championship.
Boys’ winner Alex Drayton, from Wrag Barn Golf Club, scored an impressive 72, including five birdies.
Top girl Alexandra Feltham, of Chippenham Gof Club, recorded 84 – enough on count back to seize victory from Marlborough’s Natasha Chapman, who also scored 84.
The best nett score of the day was achieved by 12-year-old Connor Askey, of Bowood Golf Club. His gross 84 off a 16 handicap returned a nett 68.
