Marlborough Tennis will be offering free ‘taster’ sessions (as well as tasters of Pimms, strawberries and other refreshments) between 10am and 3.30pm but you will need to register and book a spot in advance.
It’s Free Tennis for everyone and anyone: age, ability and experience aren’t important. For those with a bit of skill and practice there will be ‘speed gun’ to measure how fast a serve can be achieved (probably also in demand by many town residents and villagers wanting to measure traffic speed!).
Sunday will also be an opportunity for prospective players to meet Jo Revelle, the new Senior coach at Port Hill, and find out about the coaching schedule that Marlborough Tennis have put together over the next few months, as well as Joe’s tennis holiday camps that he will be running across a couple of three day sessions in August at Port Hill.
Try tennis, but also try golf as well on the same visit. Marlborough Golf Club will be extending this appeal to golf, to encourage new players to the game on the same day that the Carnoustie Open reaches its climax.
As well as introducing golf to all, they will be offering special membership offers to all of those who attend.
For more details check out ‘What’s On‘ or go to the Golf Club’s site and Marlborough Tennis.
