On Saturday 27 June runners will be pounding their way through Savernake Forest, either on a 10k or 3k route, all in aid of raising money for St Katharine’s school.
Now in its sixth year, the Savernake Fun Run has become a very popular feature of many runners’ (and plenty of those who aren’t normally runners) calendar and this year new routes take runners into areas that aren’t normally accessible to the public. The organisers would like to thank Christopher Rokos of Tottenham House for this.
The Savernake Fun Run is for st Katharine’s. The money raised is to provide multiple resources for the school such as interactive whiteboards and visualisers for classrooms, items to improve forest school, playground equipment and books for the library.
This year’s run will feature a warm-up by Fruci Fit, delicious food provided by Chimi-Shake and The Milk Yard and a;l serenaded by Froxfield’s Phoenix Brass Band.
Savernake Fun Run is open to all. So, whether you are a novice, an experienced runner or you wish to support family and friends, the event promises a day of fun, fitness and community spirit.
Registration for the 10k run is £15, but only half that – £7.50 for the 3k distance. Click here to get more information and to register.
