After a poor start on Sunday, Marlborough lost 2-0 to Melksham away. Marlborough were slow to start and allowed the Melksham team to make quick passes and dominate the game.
It was thirty minutes in, when a scramble in the six yard box led to a mistake and an own goal.
Marlborough struggled to keep up their momentum. They got through to half time when they were able to re-group.
Marlborough came back out a bit sharper and more determined. They communicated better and passed the ball well. It was unfortunate that they weren’t able to make anything of their forward play.
Melksham continued to play well and eventually got a great second goal with a strike into the top right corner.
Marlborough finished another game with a tough defeat. Knowing they are capable of more, Marlborough will come out to their next game with more confidence to play their best for the full game.
