Consistency has been key to their success achieving ten wins and four draws out of the fifteen games across the season. Their final match was no exception and they went ahead thanks to a fine strike from Jasper Rich midway through the first half and had to show all the grit and determination that has seen them through so far to hold on for a draw after the home team had equalised in the second half. The single point was enough to secure the title and promotion to division one.

Moving on from the league, the Mavericks have the chance to make it a double with a League Cup Semi Final appearance at Beversbrook. Calne, on 31 March, kicking off at 10am.
MYFC Chair Stuart Slater congratulated the entire team and everyone who had made this achievement possible, including coaches saying that “the entire Club wish them all the very best of luck, in what would be a magnificent achievement if they can pull off the double”.
