Manningford Open Gardens – in aid of St Peter’s Church

7 June @ 2:00 pm 5:00 pm

Eleven gardens and the church will take part in the event from the gardens of large manor houses to those of smaller thatched cottages. The gardens have been chosen to give as wide a variety as possible – from traditional walled gardens to small corners of paradise with cottage borders and ponds.

The event is a joint venture between Manningford PCC, Village Hall and Parish Council, and is focused on Manningford Bruce to make it a walkable route.  The 11th– century church of St Peter’s, with new outer oak doors, will be decorated with flowers.

Tea and cake will be served at the Village Hall together with a plant stall. Entrance will be £10 per person with young children free. Parking will be available in the School Field what3words ///eats.honest.munch and will be well signposted from the A345 with disabled parking near the Village Hall.

“We are really excited to be running this event for the first time,” commented Churchwarden John Thompson-Ashby. “We are so grateful to all our village garden owners for throwing open their gardens and we hope to raise a significant amount for our church fabric fund and to renovate our charming pipe organ. We hope all keen gardeners and families will come for a lovely day out in leafy Manningford!”
