St John’s students raise the achievement bar even higher with this year’s ‘A’ level results

Principal Ian Tucker (right) with Assistant Vice Prinicpal Dan Rogan (left) and some of the very happy St John's A level students“With 54% of our students achieving A*-B grades in their A level results we have a great deal to celebrate” stated a beaming St John’s Principal Ian Tucker, extolling the hard work and dedication shown by this year’s A level students when the results were announced this morning.  ”Last year’s performance was also very strong with 48% achieving these grades” he added, noting the particular excellence of this year’s results and the significant improvement over what was already deemed to be a very successful year.

 

“28% our students achieved A* and A grades and we swept the board with the top grades in BTEC and vocational qualifications” he added, stressing the importance of the achievement of students who have decided not to go down the University route commenting:  ”The way our students have approached the exams is indicative of the bright futures that they have ahead of themselves and we wish them every sucess along their chosen pathways”.

 

Annabelle Jarjis with parents Dr Raik (right) and Nemat Jarjis and Maths Tutor Juliet Packer celebrating Annabelle's achievement of 3 A* and one AAssistant Vice Prinicpal Dan Rogan noted some of the key achievers this year:  ”Particular mention needs to go to Oscar Aspey, Aran Bailey, Ben Cooke, Dan Davis, Hugo England, Daniel Excell-Smith, Daniel Filipiak, Harrison France, Mae Hands, Sophie Hole, Annabelle Jarjis, Oscar Lenehan, Tilly Lewis-Lawson, Thomas Llewelyn, Laura Mapstone, Harry MGill, Robyn Morley, Matthew Parkes, Daniel Patel, Tom Philpott, Joe Price, Alice Rysiecki, Hamish Slater, Mollie Vines and Oliver Wing who all achieved suites of A* and A grades and Jess Lamb who achieved Distinction* in all her BTEC subjects.” he stated.
