Chilton Foliat Primary School pupils are the latest to benefit from Louise Worsley’s first aid workshop. The workshop, which has been touring several local schools, covers topics such as how and when to call 999, choking and bleeding and other first aid essentials in a fun and interactive environment
Louise Worsley who is qualified through and regulated by Remote Emergency Care and Nuco Training commented: “Children are often the first to react when their friend falls off a bike or chokes on a sweet, so knowing basic first aid is invaluable.”
Chilton Foliat Headteacher, Katie Turner, added: ‘We firmly believe that all children should learn first aid as a skill for life, starting as soon as they can recognise the number 999. The training gave our pupils the chance to develop confidence and leadership skills, along with the knowledge that they can help others when it is needed the most.”
The course was funded by The Friends of Chilton Foliat Primary School who organise fundraising events throughout the year aimed at enriching the children’s lives and bringing the school and the local community together.
Worsley Training runs First Aid training courses for parents, children, childcare professionals and small businesses. They specialise in Paediatric First Aid and enjoy working with schools to train pupils, teachers and parents alike.
