Marlborough LitFest was keen to join the celebrations of Marlborough’s link with Eglantyne Jebb who founded Save the Children one hundred years ago and who taught in St Peter’s School from 1899 to 1890.
Local pupils studied Sarah Garland’s graphic novel, ‘Azzi in Between’ and listened to talks from Save the Children representatives. The exhibition demonstrates the children’s responses.
Gill Macdonald, member of the LitFest Committee, told marlborough.news, “‘Azzi in Between’ is a powerful, moving story. I have been impressed with the way the children have responded to it so sensitively. The exhibition contains many moving diary entries, picture stories, models and paintings.”
