Waitrose Marlborough is once again supporting Marlborough LitFest by donating a number of Marlborough Buns to the LitFest Café in Marlborough Town Hall. The Festival Café is open throughout the weekend in the ground floor of the Town Hall, providing refreshments for LitFest audiences between author talks and events. The White Horse Bookshop also runs a pop up bookstall next to the Café to buy books from attending LitFest authors.
The Waitrose ‘Marlborough Bun’ is part of its heritage regional recipe series and is a traditional blend of fruit and dough baked into a rustic mound. These buns have become a staple, traditional part of the LitFest Café experience for visitors and also the authors in the Green Room.
Lisa Wakeham, Community Matters Lead at Waitrose Marlborough, said: “Marlborough Waitrose is delighted to once again support Marlborough LitFest by providing our Marlborough Buns. We are proud to support local events and look forward to seeing lots of visitors to the town during the Festival weekend.”
Becky Tilley of Marlborough LitFest said: “We are very grateful to Waitrose for their support to LitFest with their Marlborough Buns, which have become a festival favourite in our LitFest Café over the Festival weekend – the perfect way to relax between author talks with a cup of tea.”
